Reigning Speed Promotions Racing series champion Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington captured his first Outlaw 32 invitational victory of the new season Saturday afternoon at the Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Virginia, defeating Chris Rankin in the final round for the $40,000 payday and a second win at the track in as many seasons. Hoard, from St. Charles, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, was competing in the Gangsta 28’s class at the Worldwide Technology Raceway’s WWTR N/T Racers event in his sleek twin-turbocharged C7 Corvette. Hoard was paired with eventual race winner Caleb Cox and his Mustang in the opening round of eliminations.
