    The Skaneateles Rotary Club’s annual Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast is a community affair. The breakfast requires all hands-on deck from the Rotary Club and from many others in town. Rotary Youth Exchange students and families from over the decades help serve. Other volunteers help cook. High School athletic teams sometimes provide the muscle for heavy duty set up.

She will be gathering with her family and friends for this momentous occasion.  She and her husband Dana, previously owned The Skaneateles Bakery and contributed much to the community. She is well known for decorating wedding cakes for many couples, and always having a smile to greet people to “The Bakery”.

    To the editor:About the special election in the town of Lysander on June 9 as to making the highway supervisor an appointed position rather than an elected position. I would like to share my opinion on this subject. I have lived in the town for 58 years and voted for 40 years. I do not remember every having anyone on the ballot in November for this position other than the person that was chosen by the Lysander Republican Committee. This position was always unopposed.

    CORTLAND – What the West Genesee girls lacrosse team did last Monday night was more than good enough to win a Section III Class A championship in most years. Against the reigning state champions from Cicero-North Syracuse the Wildcats answered every single challenge thrown at them and poured in more goals than in all but two of its games from this season. And it wasn’t quite enough.
