The San Diego Padres are getting barely any production from their left fielders. Why did the team not explore bringing back David Peralta, who produced for the team in 2024? In the 2024 Padres season, no role player was more important than the freight train himself, David Peralta. Not only was Peralta clutch in the playoffs with several key hits, but he was also loved by his teammates. There is no doubt the San Diego Padres need help in the outfield. On Sunday, Gavin Sheets crashed into the outfield wall trying to make a play on a fly ball. He was removed from the game and is listed as day-to-day. Sheet appears to be okay, but honestly, the Padres would rather have the big left-handed hitter play first base or DH during the game, Even though Sheets has more experience in the outfield during his major league career, the Padres would be wise to look elsewhere for options.
