Svenska Spel has recorded net gaming revenue (NGR) of SEK1.9bn (£150m) for Q1 2025, representing a 4% decrease when compared to the corresponding period last year. The Swedish state-owned operator attributed the revenue hit to a consequence of reduced land-based operations, following the closure of two of its casinos in January.

The operator’s new hub will occupy the entire ground and lower ground floor of Tailor’s Corner, covering 5,000 sq ft. Former Resorts Digital Gaming (RDG) CEO Ed Andrewes has announced the launch of his new consultancy firm, iGaming Advisory Services. The move marks Andrewes’ first public venture since his departure from RDG back in November 2024. Andrewes left the New Jersey-based firm after nine years of service following its acquisition by Boyd Interactive. Boyd Interactive acquired RDG from parent company Resorts Casino in an undisclosed deal in September.

Speaking at a candidates forum in the run up to May’s federal election, Jerome Laxale highlighted the recommendations laid out by late Labor MP Peta Murphy in 2023. The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) has issued a weekly fine of €280,000 (£240,704) to St. Lucia-based operator Starscream Limited for making its platforms available to Dutch players without the required licence. The platforms in question include rantcasino.com, sugarcasino.com and allstarzcasino.com. In June 2024, a KSA supervisor commenced an investigation into sugarcasino.com to determine whether the website was accessible from the Netherlands.
