Fannetastic Food
Hello! I'm Anne, and I began my healthy lifestyle blog in 2009 to motivate others to embrace happier, healthier living. My goal is to show everyone that maintaining a nutritious diet and an active lifestyle can be simple and enjoyable! As a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a Master's in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. I'm also a proud mom, marathon runner, yoga enthusiast, and a fan of outdoor adventures, travel, and crafting healthy recipes. I reside in the Washington, DC area with my husband, Matt, and our daughter, Riese, who joined us in November 2017. On this blog, you'll discover a blend of everyday experiences, easy recipes, quick meal suggestions, running and race summaries, parenting adventures, active travel tips, nutrition advice, and much more.

Butter & eggs should be room temperature. Roughly chop your pecans, don't pulverize them. You can substitute the pecans for walnuts, another nut, or leave them out completely. To ensure a moist, tender muffin, do not over bake. Remove from the oven when the internal temperature is 185 degrees (if using an in-oven thermometer). If your bananas are not ripe, place them on a baking sheet in a 300 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Let the bananas cool completely before mashing.
