Old Sarum Airfield has won its planning appeal and has been granted planning permission for 315 houses and a new flying hub to be built on the 1917 airfield. The permission hangs on the dilapidated Grade 11-listed Hangar 3, which dates from WWI, being restored. The hangar is currently on Historic England’s ‘At Risk’ register.

The first of 12 Elixir aircraft for training professional pilots was handed over to Egnatia Aviation, an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) at AERO Friedrichshafen today. Egnatia Aviation is based at Kavala-Amygdaleon Airport in Greece and is expecting six of the new French two-seaters this year, with a second batch of six to follow in 2026.

French company Aura Aero has delivered its first tailwheel Integral R aerobatic two-seater, three months after gaining EASA type certification for the aircraft. The launch customer is Dijon Voltige, France’s iconic aerobatics club. “Dijon Voltige has trusted us from the beginning and has supported us throughout the aircraft development process,” said Jérémy Caussade, co-founder and CEO of the company.
