Football Scotland made its debut in January 2019, coinciding with a peak in enthusiasm for our national sport. The SPFL boasts fiercely competitive leagues at every level, captivating relegation and promotion playoffs, and there’s even the possibility of an exciting title race in the Scottish Premiership. Fans are starting to recognize the strengths of our game. After a period where top clubs struggled to keep up with English football and many teams overspent to compete, clubs are now focusing on nurturing homegrown talent and discovering hidden gems—all while being financially responsible. Scottish football is also filled with fun and quirky moments. From Kingsley, the world's most intimidating mascot, to the infamous bendy water, you never know when something amusing will happen. Of course, there are serious challenges facing the game, and we aim to cover these issues, addressing the topics that matter most to fans across the nation. As a Reach Scotland title, we are part of the larger Reach plc group. Our editorial team works daily from 7am to 11pm on weekdays and from 8am to 9pm on weekends. The site is managed by four full-time journalists, under the guidance of myself, editor Gregor Kyle.
