President Trump has increased U.S. tariff rates to levels unseen since before World War II. While the precise economic impacts of these new tariffs remain to be seen, a new report warns they are likely to harm U.S. farmers. Fears that the U.S. will use its exports of natural gas to Mexico to pressure them over border security, drug smuggling, and the trade imbalance have led Mexico to target increased domestic production. What happened? Earlier this week the Midland, Texas region experienced 111 mph winds and associated damage. According to the National Weather Service, these high winds were not associated with an EF tornado.
