(KTEN) — Tuesday is special election day in Oklahoma. Bryan, Carter, Garvin, and Murray County voters decided the fate of three school improvement bond issues. All propositions would come with a property tax increase. Silo Public Schools asked voters to approve a $52 million bond to build a new high school, gym, cafeteria, early childhood additions, and sewage upgrades. Property taxes would increase by 18 percent if the measure passes.

(KTEN) — Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has vetoed two bills on public safety and penalties for both DUIs and drive-by shootings. Senate Bill 54 would have elevated an aggravated conviction of driving under the influence from a misdemeanor to a felony charge. Currently, an aggravated DUI is a misdemeanor when a driver's blood alcohol content is found to be 0.15 or higher.

Season 23 of American Idol is quickly coming to an end, with the penultimate episode airing on Monday, May 12. With just five artists left, the remaining contestants took the stage twice during the live show, which was a continuation of Disney night.
