National Broadcasting Company (NBC)

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is a commercial television network in the United States that broadcasts in English. It is a main asset of NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast. The main office is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, with significant offices also in Los Angeles at 10 Universal City Plaza and in Chicago at the NBC Tower. NBC is one of the three major television networks in the country. The network is often called the "Peacock Network" because of its colorful peacock logo, which was first introduced in 1956 to highlight the company’s advancements in color broadcasting. This logo became the official symbol of the network in 1979.
