The CW

The CW Television Network, often simply called The CW, is a free-to-air television network in the United States that broadcasts in English. It is managed by CW Network, LLC, which is a joint venture between CBS Corporation and AT&T. CBS previously owned the United Paramount Network (UPN), while AT&T’s WarnerMedia is the parent company of Warner Bros., the previous main owner of The WB. The name "CW" comes from the first letters of its two parent companies, CBS and Warner Bros.
