☀ High 19CGood morning!Last week, Toronto was still in the fringes of winter. It snowed while I was there—not much, but enough to make me wish I had remembered to get my scarf from the hotel room. Meanwhile, here in the Fraser Valley, my garden is awash in flowers. The peas are popping up, and the spinach is beginning to sprout. The only snow I’ve seen on this coast are the white petals floating down from the blossom trees surrounding my backyard.

☀ High 19CGood morning! The hide-a-bed couch is the hardest piece of furniture to move. There is no question. If you disagree, you have never had to move a true hide-a-bed. You think it’s going to be awkward like a normal couch. Then you feel its weight and want to just set fire to the thing on the spot.

⛅ High 17CGood morning! You needn’t have worried. I did not run out of books on my train trip to Toronto. And even if I had, apparently VIA Rail keeps a few stacks of old forgotten novels in various places on the train so I would have been covered regardless. It was lovely to have some time away from my desk and responsibilities, and I am now geared up to get back into reporting. With the federal election less than two weeks away, both Tyler and I are going to have a lot on our plates.
