Disguised individuals with cameras have been seen recently recording video of residents in Glendale and Montrose at businesses on Honolulu Avenue. Calling themselves “First Amendment auditors,” the individuals claim they are exercising their First Amendment rights and have been seen taking photos or recording video of people in public or public spaces such as libraries, police stations, sidewalks and parking lots.

The Falcons had a solid season, finishing with a 14-12 overall record and a CIF Southern Section playoff appearance. Perri Derian, the league’s co-Pitcher of the Year, helped CVHS place second in the Pacific League Tournament and second in the league with a 6-1 record. The Falcons reached the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs. Mila Reddy, Hannah Wyroski and Alexa Johnson earned first-team honors.

Crescenta Valley High School athletes participated in the CIF Southern Section Track and Field Championships at Moorpark High School on May 11, competing in the Division I pool of talent. Falcons senior Eddie Sion finished third in the boys’ 3,200 meter run with a time of 8 minutes, 57.05 seconds. Meanwhile, junior Kaitlin Kenny placed seventh in the girls’ 1,600 with a time of 5:02.78. Sion will return to Moorpark High to compete at the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet on May 18.
