The Elixir has been a great tent that has held up through all sorts of weather and inhospitable campsites. He ended up completing three of the four routes he set out to do. In mid-February, he made the third ascent of Alex Megos’ The Full Journey 5.15b in Margalef.

The route adds a 5.14d into the difficult portion of Les Rois du Lithium 5.15b. Bouin bolted Wolf Kingdom a year and a half before his FA, working the route on and off in the interim.

Team Japan’s Mao Nakamura earned her first-ever World Cup gold medal after being the only competitor to top three out of the four problems. A long-time competitor on the circuit, it was surprisingly Nakamura’s first time standing on a World Cup podium.
