Hindustan Samachar

Hindusthan Samachar is India's pioneering multilingual news agency, with more than 200 newspapers and nearly all news channels, including Door Darshan (DD), relying on its services. Founded in 1948 by S. S. Apte, it operates in 10 languages: Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Telugu, Malayalam, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, and Marathi. In 1951, the Government of Bihar became one of its subscribers, and soon after, several other states across the country joined in. At one point, All India Radio and Radio Nepal were also among its subscribers.
