This ‘changed sleeping schedules’ of today’s children have affected their lifestyle and health as they do not get insufficient sleep. In wake of this, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais recently suggested that the state government should think about modifying the school timings so that students can get adequate sleep.

Directorate Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have busted multiple attempts at smuggling of narcotics by carriers of international drug syndicates trying to smuggle in narcotic drug cocaine by adopting different modus operandi at Mumbai Airport. In one case the recovery of narcotic substance has been made from residence of an Indian person at Virar after the drug was smuggled from Nairobi through Delhi airport.

The Food And Drug Administration (FDA) in the last two months have sent improvement notices to around 137 hotels and restaurants in Mumbai. During their surprise inspections at 152 locations, they found major lapses in their functioning. Out of these, 137 were given improvement notices and 15 were asked to stop work or shut down. FDA served them notices asking them to stop their business. It also collected a fine of INR 1,70,000 from these places for violating various norms.
