    An elderly woman was rushed to hospital after she was attacked by a dog in Dublin on Tuesday afternoon. The lady, in her 70s, was reportedly visiting a neighbour's house when the attack occurred at around 2.45pm. Gardaí and ambulance services responded to the incident and the woman was brought to Beaumont Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, reports Dublin Live. A spokesperson confirmed that the dog involved in the attack was removed by a local dog warden.

    An investigation is under way into the death of a man whose body was found in an apartment in Co Dublin. Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of a body at a residential property at Viking Harbour on the South Quays in Dublin 8 on Monday afternoon. The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary where a postmortem examination is due to be carried out.

    Gardai are seeking help from locals in reuniting a diamond ring found in Co Cork with its rightful owner. The expensive looking ring, which is roughly the same size as a 5 cent coin, was handed in to the local garda station after being found by a member of the public in Cobh at the weekend. The band, which appears to be an engagement ring, is made of silver and has a large central diamond fitted in place with six prongs.
