Jazz Straightahead Show
Jazz Straightahead is a weekly two-hour radio show dedicated to jazz music, hosted by Cary Meister, known as "Doc Jazz." This program highlights a variety of jazz styles, from traditional roots in New Orleans and Chicago to swing, bop, cool, hard bop, third stream, and post-bop. It also features the latest talents in jazz, showcasing young musicians playing saxophone, trumpet, piano, bass, drums, and more.

Without the dollars, the cash runs out at the end of the month.

SB 1269 would allow -- but not require -- school boards to invite chaplains from various religions into schools to provide "support, services or programs'' to students. There would be parental buy-in, including a list of available chaplains. And proponents say it it crafted in a way to prohibit participants from proselytizing.
