On March 22, 2021, a gunman opened fire at a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado. Ten people were murdered including shoppers, store employees and a police officer. Erika Mahoney, a former public radio and television reporter, never imagined that she would be at the heart of such a story. Her father Kevin Mahoney was one of the ten murdered. "I found myself on the other side of the story. I was no longer the one asking the questions, I was answering the questions," she said.

NO KINGS protests around the U.S. Saturday drew an estimated 5 million people while President Trump celebrated his 79th birthday and the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary in Washington D.C. In Glenwood Springs, NO KINGS organizers report that close to 4,000 marched, rallied and filled Sayre Park with signs, an empty throne and plenty of chanting and drumming. Republicans in Congress are again pushing to sell off millions of acres of public land as part of the GOP’s tax cut and spending bill. A draft budget from the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, led by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), calls for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service to sell between two and three million acres over the next five years. Land in every western state except Montana would be eligible for sale under the proposal.
