    Authorities at Fort Leonard Wood arrest a murder suspect from North Carolina. The Fayetteville Police Department says Tyrique Williams, 26, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was arrested by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division Wednesday. He’s being held in the Pulaski County Jail pending extradition back to North Carolina. Williams is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of death in connection with the murder of Annie Lock. Lock was reported missing in October of 2024.

    A Morgan County man suffers serious injuries in a three-vehicle accident in congested traffic in Camden County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the 60-year-old man from Gravois Mills was driving on Highway 5 Thursday afternoon just south of Sunrise Beach when the accident occurred. The patrol says the other two drivers were stopped in traffic when the Gravois Mills man struck a SUV from behind. The impact caused the SUV to strike a pickup truck.

    Two children from Jefferson City are seriously injured when the car they’re riding in hydroplanes in Laclede County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 35-year-old woman from Jefferson City was driving down Highway 5, about six miles north of Lebanon, this morning, when she hydroplaned. An SUV then struck the side of her car. The driver suffered minor injuries. But two of her passengers, a 16-yer-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries.

    A Phelps County man charged with numerous counts of child molestation pleads guilty to reduced charges. Joel Eldredge, 39, of Newburg, was charged with eight counts of first-degree child molestation for touching a girl who was under the age of 14 during 2003. Eldredge pleaded guilty earlier this week to three counts of first-degree child molestation and the additional five charges were dismissed. He’ll be sentenced June 16.

    The Missouri House passes a bill that would put a constitutional amendment on abortion on the ballot for the second year in a row. The House voted 103-51 today to pass HJR 73. The bill now heads to the Senate. The resolution would repeal Amendment 3, which restored abortion rights in the state when voters approved it this past November. It would prohibit abortions, except in cases of medical emergencies, rape, or incest.
