Willie Nelson's 40th Farm Aid will feature returning performers and cofounders Neil Young and John Mellencamp. The festival will take place on Sept. 20 in Minneapolis. Other artists slated to participate include Dave Matthews (with Tim Reynolds), Margo Price, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Jesse Welles and Madeline Edwards. Additional performers are expected to be announced at a later time.

A multi-instrumentalist, compelling vocalist and ahead-of-his-time songwriter, Wonder wasted little time proving his talent. Within just a couple of years, he was a charting artist, on his way to becoming one of the most decorated musicians ever — not that the awards were the point for Wonder.

A man from Yakima died in a traffic crash Friday near the Vernita Bridge. Washington State Patrol Troopers say 68-year-old James Sandall died at a richland hospital after the crash reported at about 11:00 am Friday. SANDALL WAS LEAVING THE REST AREA WHEN THE CRASH HAPPENEDTroopers say Sandall was driving out of the Vernita rest area when he collided with another vehicle. The other driver and a passenger in Sandall's vehicle were injured and treated at a Richland hospital.

I found myself in Wenatchee, Washington, the other day. Wenatchee is a neat little town. Population of only about 35,000+ but it has a lot going on for itself. I mean, for being about 1/3 the size of Yakima, Wenatchee has two places that serve soup dumplings while, as of writing this, Yakima doesn't have any. I'm sure Yakima will get one eventually, but still. We had some time before our event so we decided to check out the local mall as just an excuse hang out for a few hours since we were early.

I do love a cinnamon roll. To me, cinnamon rolls are like many pastries. Some consider them a breakfast item but I never eat them for breakfast. It's just a mid-morning snack or something to heat up later at night after dinner. My favorite use of cinnamon rolls is something I learned from the Midwest is that you can use cinnamon rolls with chili as a meal. Like, instead of cornbread or something, use a cinnamon roll. It works great. We spent a few hours in Leavenworth, WA, over the weekend.
