A man wanted in North Carolina on sexual abuse allegations has been captured this week in Spokane. The Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force arm of the US Marshals Service captured the 60-year-old man Tuesday in Spokane. Marshall Foster was wanted on a warrant out of Forsyth County, North Carolina, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. On April 10th, The General Court of Justice issued the charges of Forcible Sexual Rape of a Minor in the Second Degree.

The US Attorney's Office for Eastern WA says a dangerous cartel manager has been found guilty for his role in a massive drug ring. 45-year-old Luis Esquivel-Bolanos of Guerro, Mexico, was found guilty on multiple counts of drug trafficking and weapons charges. The US Attorney's Office said in January of 2023, authorities identified Bolanos as the head of a major drug trafficking operation that flooded tribal lands in Northeastern WA, and across to Montana, with fentanyl, meth and other narcotics.

Benton REA has announced it has sold its internet service provider wing to a Yakima company. Benton REA, who serves about 12,000 customers in rural areas of Benton, Yakima and Lewis Counties, began offering internet service in 1997. Benton officials said this week they had sold the internet service to Yakima-based Advanced High Speed Internet for $110,000.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday, April 17th, a Mattawa woman is being held on suspicion of multiple crimes related to drugs, and the death of her daughter. June 4th of that year Grant County Fire District 8 EMT's were called to a rural home near Mattawa after Ahna Sandoval was found by her father lying unresponsive on the floor of her bedroom. He had come home for lunch, and found her lying on the floor. EMT's were not able to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
