    GRAND ISLAND – Pine Street from First Street to Court Street will be closed starting March 26 because of demolition two buildings. The former Department of Health and Human Services building and the Old Jail, both just east of the Hall County Courthouse, are being torn down for the Courthouse addition project. Pine Street will be permanently closed between First Street and Court Street. The space is needed for the addition to the Hall County Courthouse.

    HOLDREGE — The Central Community College Board of Governors has approved a $1.9 million plan to relocate the Holdrege Center to downtown Holdrege. The center will move into the former Great Western Bank Building at 424 West Ave. from the Phelps County Agricultural Center. Once completed, the nearly 11,300-square-foot facility will feature classrooms, live video rooms, nursing assistant lab, computer lab, offices and a testing room.
