They’re just two of 70 dogs rescued from a single home by Anchorage Animal Care and Control, with help from local police. Now, the city shelter is overrun — and urgently looking for help. “All 70 came here to the shelter,” said Joel Jorgensen, spokesperson for the facility. “That doubled our entire dog population, which puts us way over capacity.”The shelter is designed to house up to 65 dogs.
