Summer is here and the time is right for thinking about getting and staying healthy. It is a time to be outdoors, to exercise and to eat right. Summer is a great time to think about our liver. How can we keep our livers healthy? The key to a healthy liver is a healthy diet. A good healthy diet requires common sense. What is considered a healthy diet? Eating lots of fruits and vegetables, minimizing fatty foods, drinking plenty of water and watching alcohol intake can keep a liver healthy.

In the annals of popular music, you’d be hard-pressed to find an artist as eclectic and prolific as Todd Rundgren. To call him creatively restless is like calling The Beatles a quaint pop band. Gogol Bordello to play free benefit in Tompkins Square ParkBy Cory OlsenOn April 27th, Gogol Bordello, along with some of the legends of New York Hardcore music such as Madball and Murphy’s Law, will be uniting in Tompkins Square Park to raise funds to help Jesse Malin, longtime friend and “keystone figure” of the New York Hardcore scene. Malin, frontman for the seminal hardcore band Heart Attack as well as D Generation, suffered a rare spinal stroke leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

Adam Ant is complicated, in the best sense of the word. Throughout his career, the man born Stuart Goddard has had a creative streak that’s pulled inspiration from the worlds of music, art, film, television and radio. Best known as an artist who emerged from the late ‘70s UK punk scene (managed by none other than Sex Pistols impresario Malcolm McLaren—more on that later), Ant managed to break in America right as a new entity called MTV was emerging.
