Our last report looked at the most shoppable brands across the entirety of 2024, and today’s send picks up where we left off. We surveyed the data spanning January 1 through today(ish) and found a wealth of interesting intel. Like, if SSENSE were considered a brand, it would have a score nearly 4x that of our leading brand.

At time of publish, the Black Friday deals spreadsheet has 268 products across womenswear, menswear, and home. As a running tally of the best individual deals spotted through back-to-back (back-to-black?) days of trawling sales, the plan is to continuously update this running list through the weekend as new sales come online and deeper discounts emerge. I’m guessing that, by Cyber Monday’s close, it will pass its 1,000th cell.

It’s a no-news news week because, I mean, just look at the volume of sales we’re dealing with. I think we can safely say Black Friday is officially here? I can think of very few brand that host sales who aren’t live yet. The promos below are in addition to the even-earlier Black Friday sales linked out last week (many still live), and in the Magain Private Sale that went out yesterday (thank you for the enormous response to this experiment!), which are also going strong, by the way.

You know what I woke up this morning thinking about? The vintage Giorgio Armani leather jacket I wrote about back in April and wish I’d kept for myself. (The new old thing I have a crush on in that realm is this sculpted ‘90s D&G leather trench.) I still wonder who brought it home with them. Last week, I wrote about a Saint Laurent mini dress on resale I was heavily considering for the many holiday parties ahead. That, too, got yoinked before I decided I should just add it to cart myself.

For most of my adult dressing life, I gave myself permission to try pretty much anything, so long as whatever style I was experimenting with was firmly against “athleisure.” Branded leggings outside of the gym = bad, everything else = fair game! Now, as I survey the types of pieces I’m adding to my closet or am drawn toward, so many of them fall into the buckets of sporty and/or lounge-y, and that phrase keeps rattling around my stubborn old head.
