Whoops! It appears that a PlayStation Store advertisement for an upcoming collaboration in Overwatch 2 wasn't exactly supposed to go live just yet. While the original post was later hidden, it was a bit too late as gaming fans, like XOXLEAK and Llamalaxy on X (formerly Twitter), already had the images saved and shared. The F2P hero shooter is no stranger to collaborations.

Years ago, certain MMORPG releases actually excited me. I'm not talking about the feeling of "that looks kind of neat, I'll certainly check that out." I'm talking about genuine excitement. The release dates were marked on my calendar, plans were made with friends, hell, we may even head to a midnight release at an actual store if you go back far enough. My brother and I standing in line at GameStop for World of Warcraft expansions is a perfect example. Those are great memories of mine.

Open Beta 9 has arrived in SMITE 2 and the F2P MOBA welcomes Guan Yu to the battlefield. The Saint of War brings a bit of a balanced approach being able to heal, sustain damage, and move around each skirmish quickly thanks to some higher mobility. For years, I've always ascribed to a certain philosophy when it comes to how I prefer my MMORPGs be monetized. You may have heard me say it a few times on random podcasts. It was the idea that, "Everyone wants MMORPGs to be F2P...until they find one that they will spend a lot of time in, then they wish it had a subscription." That little idiom of mine has held true for a very long time. These days, though, I'm not sure if it's valid anymore or if I even personally feel that way.

Here's one that's actually a bit challenging to describe in writing. Don't believe me? Go read the written description of the F2P card game on Steam or the Epic Games Store and come back and tell me if you have the basic idea of how to play The Lost Glitches. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. I mean, it CAN be, but I think if the game is fun, then people won't mind too much. Either way, The Lost Glitches has a little bit of everything mixed into a card game.
