Rorey is a singer/songwriter from New York City whose songs are as unafraid as the sentiment within them. We respect courage, we admire the bold, and we spend most of our lives enthralled in the music of both, including Rorey, who has been releasing music with an earnest and unabashed understanding of the self all wrapped around melodies and instrumental arrangements that are simultaneously sharp and beautiful, like a crown of thorns or a kiss that hurts.

Weirdest thing about Myles? He rips an electric weed pen and in the same breath rips a nicotine vape pen. Kinda back it though Weirdest thing about Austyn? It’s important to remember that Monster Children isn’t a single narcissistic paranoid schizophrenic whispering to themselves in front of a laptop all day, but a group of anywhere from five to fifteen narcissistic paranoid schizophrenics depending on who is or isn’t in a k-hole. And because there are so many of us, all with different styles and tastes, there is a lot of conflict in email chains and text threads and bar booths. ‘Kelly Slater is a God!’ someone will yell.

Last month, I told a story about how I went and saw my friend’s band play in Manhattan, New York. I took some mushrooms and had some beers. It was good. I was among friends. I was happy. I pushed my way up to the front to be with people I love and dance to songs that I knew well. Arriving wedged at the front, I began to move and shake, and this infuriated the people around me.
