A two-year multi-organization investigation has resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs, $2.5 million in assets and the arrest of nine people in the Taber and Lethbridge areas. A new exhibit at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump site highlights the traditional ways buffalo were hunted by indigenous communities. The UNESCO World Heritage Site preserves more than 6,000 years of buffalo hunting on the planes and the ingenuity that came with these hunts. The new exhibit was created thanks to a partnership between the Piikani Nation, the Canadian Museum of History and the Government of Alberta.

A search is underway for a 17-year-old boy presumed missing by the Lethbridge Police Service. The LPS says officers responded to a serious incident at around 7 p.m. Wednesday night, after a possible drowning was reported. Police say a 17-year-old boy tried to swim across the Oldman River, went under the water by the High Level Bridge, and did not resurface.
