Lethbridge Police have charged a 28-year-old male after recovering a stolen truck and high-end bicycle. A second male was also apprehended in connection with the incident, following a search of the river valley. On Apr. 15, the owner of a Ford F150 previously reported stolen from Coaldale, observed the vehicle near the Par 3 golf course and attempted to block it in. A male passenger exited and ran into the coulees, while the driver rammed the other vehicle then fled in the truck.

It was an EPIC day, thanks to Career Transitions and its career conference for 600 middle and high school students. The event was held Wednesday at the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. EPIC Day is geared primarily toward students in Grades 9 and 10, but is open to any student who is looking for an opportunity to explore possible career pathways. In small groups, students spend 20 minutes each with five unique exhibitors.

There are now five approved locations in Lethbridge where food trucks and mobile vending machines can set up on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the City of Lethbridge. Lethbridge Police welcomed the newest four-legged member to the K9 unit. Police Service Dog Brandon, a nearly two-year-old Belgian Malinois, was born in Spain and later imported by the Alabama Canine Law Enforcement Officers Training Center. He was acquired by LPS in November 2024. Brandon began his rigorous training program alongside Cst. Terry Fieguth Jan. 6. While the training usually takes 20 weeks to complete, the duo was able to finish in 14 weeks since Cst.
