NCCER, or the National Center for Construction Education and Research, is a non-profit educational organization that was established in 1996. It was formed with the help of over 125 CEOs from the construction sector, along with leaders from various associations and academic institutions, who came together to transform training in the construction field. Their shared aim was to create a safe and efficient workforce, leading to the development of a standardized training and certification program for the industry.
