Thomas Nelson is a publishing company that was established in 1798 in West Bow, Edinburgh, Scotland, named after its founder. Although his original surname was Neilson, he altered it to Nelson due to frequent mistakes made by his clients. Today, it operates as a subsidiary of HarperCollins, which is part of News Corp.
