Neuro Science News
In 2001, NeuroscienceNews.com was launched to fill the gap for a dedicated platform focusing exclusively on neuroscience research news. Today, it stands as an independent science news outlet that primarily covers neuroscience and related cognitive sciences. Neuroscience News operates without any financial support from government entities, grants, pharmaceutical firms, large corporations, banks, educational institutions, or any other organizations that may have conflicting interests. We thoroughly search for news from universities, laboratories, news agencies, scientists, and science publishers. Our site features full articles, press releases, abstracts, and sometimes entire research papers. We also welcome submissions from a wide range of contributors. Whenever possible, we link back to the original news releases in our posts. We strive to provide links to the research papers mentioned in the articles, along with any other relevant information for our audience. Each post includes a complete list of authors, journal names, research titles, and identifiers (doi). In instances where the original neuroscience research article is restricted or not yet available online, we direct readers to secondary sources, such as news pages from publishing organizations or university press feeds. We make it a point to update our posts later when we gain access to the research. We prioritize using Open Access research articles to ensure that our content is accessible to individuals from various income levels, educational backgrounds, and those with limited physical access. We openly disclose any conflicts of interest we observe in the notes below each post. We encourage our readers to share their insights if they identify any discrepancies or errors in the research, press releases, articles, posts, or journal papers. We acknowledge that mistakes happen and appreciate any assistance in maintaining the integrity of the information we provide. Our team does not necessarily endorse every piece we publish. We recognize that we are not experts in every scientific subfield or topic, and sometimes we share articles to bring them to the attention of more knowledgeable readers. We invite open discussions about the articles and welcome feedback regarding any potential issues. One of our goals is to crowdsource news contributions, so we appreciate any help in correcting errors. We are continuously looking for contributions from writers, bloggers, and science journalists. Neuroscience News encourages submissions of original research articles, reviews, brain research updates, news tips, blog posts, and opinion pieces. We support both professional scientists and citizen scientists in their efforts to share knowledge.
