The New England Patriots are a professional football team located in the Greater Boston region. They are part of the National Football League (NFL) and compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) East division. Their home games take place at Gillette Stadium, situated in Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is approximately 22 miles (35 km) southwest of downtown Boston. The team has been owned by Robert Kraft since he acquired it in 1994. As of 2022, the Patriots rank as the ninth most valuable sports franchise globally and have achieved sell-out crowds for every home game since 1994.
