News Busters
America's top media watchdog dedicated to identifying, highlighting, and addressing liberal media bias. In August 2005, the Media Research Center (MRC) introduced the NewsBusters blog to quickly shine a light on instances of media bias, unfairness, inaccuracies, and sometimes absurdities in national news coverage. Popular national talk-radio hosts frequently reference articles from the blog, sharing the latest insights from "our friends at NewsBusters." Even the Washington Post has acknowledged this "dynamic blog" managed by "the most recognized and well-funded conservative watchdog." With an advanced recording operation that runs around the clock and a comprehensive archive of broadcast and cable news footage dating back to 1987, NewsBusters is instrumental in addressing immediate controversies as well as tracking long-term patterns of liberal bias in the media.

The era of the movie star ended some time ago, assuming your last name isn’t Cruise. More recently, Americans began tuning out their celebrity betters on the political front. The 2024 election saw a galaxy of stars support Vice President Kamala Harris. For every Trump-backing Zachary Levi or Hulk Hogan there were dozens of A-listers backing a leader who feared talking to Joe Rogan. The word salad spinner lost, badly, to President Donald Trump all the same.

Every once in a while, HBO’s Bill Maher feels the need to remind people that he is still an intensely anti-religious individual. Friday’s episode of Real Time was one of those occasions, as Maher used the election of a new pope to launch into multiple anti-religious ramblings in order to portray religious people as unintelligent and violent, but it was Maher who relied on intellectually unsophisticated arguments.

The cast of Friday’s PBS News Hour joyfully welcomed the election of Pope Leo XIV on Friday as they tried to claim him as one of their own as all hailed him as the anti-Trump figure the country needs, but all also avoided any parts of Leo that might make them uncomfortable.
