WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Wichita Falls Transit Authority is proposing changes to its bus fare structure, with Tuesday marking the first of three scheduled public hearings on the issue. The main suggestion under consideration is eliminating the current $1.50 one-way fare in favor of a $3.50 all-day pass, which would allow riders unlimited travel for 24 hours. If approved, this would be the first fare increase since 2013.

The Berry Brown House on Travis Street was built in 1892 and was one of the oldest structures in Wichita Falls. During their visit to Station 1, campers had the chance to see the department’s ladder truck in action and even got to test their skills with a real fire hose. Each camp session lasts two weeks and is packed with fun and engaging activities for children ages 6 to 12.
