Nogales International

Nogales International is a newspaper located in Nogales, Arizona, USA, that was established in 1925. It is released twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and is part of Wick Communications.     During a recent Saturday morning, Peter Husby hiked up a steep incline through tall grasslands, rocky terrain and steep inclines. Upon reaching a high point of a rugged area of the Coronado National Forest in western Santa Cruz County, Husby and a few other Tucson Samaritans volunteers began restocking a few crates with water gallons and canned foods – making sure migrants traversing through the remote area would also have access to nonperishable food and water.

    The Nogales High School girls tennis team defeated Rio Rico on Monday, winning all six singles and three doubles contests during a match at NHS. The victory raised the Apaches' record to 11-2 with two matches remaining: Tuesday, April 15 against Cholla at home and Thursday, April 17 at Sahuarita. As the No. 7-ranked team in all of Division II as of noon Tuesday, Nogales was in position to host one of eight first-round state tournament matches on April 29.

    Santa Cruz County officials recently announced two new hires: Maria I Martinez was hired for the newly created position of assistant finance director, while Zaida Bustamante took over as the county’s workforce director. Martinez boasts 11 years of experience with the County Finance Department, according to a county news release. She will work alongside Deputy County Manager and Finance Director Mauricio Chavez to manage the county’s finances, operations and ensure fiscal responsibility.
