Established on September 22, 1890, with H. C. Ogden's introduction of the Wheeling News, Ogden Newspapers has expanded to include over 40 daily publications, several weekly papers, and a magazine division, covering areas from New York to Hawaii. Throughout its history, the company has remained dedicated to quality journalism and active engagement within the communities it serves. While the newspaper industry has evolved—moving away from traditional methods like hot lead typesetting and linotype machines—our foundational values have stayed the same. We believe that local newspapers should do more than just report the news; they should share the narratives of their communities and the individuals within them.
