The Pacific Islands News Association (PINA) Ltd is the leading organization dedicated to supporting media professionals across the Pacific region. It connects various platforms including radio, television, newspapers, magazines, online outlets, national associations, and journalism schools in 23 Pacific Islands. PINA was officially registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee in Fiji on January 23, 2014. In November 2004, PINA merged with the Pacific Islands Broadcasting Association (PIBA), creating a unified voice for media in the Pacific. PIBA had been established to advocate for the needs of public broadcasters prior to the merger.
