Law360 reports that Apple has urged the Ninth Circuit Court in San Francisco) to prohibit a district court’s “unduly punitive” mandate blocking it from charging any commission on iPhone app purchases made outside its own payment system. Apple is arguing that the Epic Games injunction redux goes far beyond the original order and attacks conduct that’s not illegal under California law. Apple wants the Ninth Circle to assign the case to a different judge if it’s sent back to the district court.

A new supply chain report states that Samsung Electronics is reviewing a dual plan to receive OLEDoS (OLED on Silicon) for its first extended reality (XR) headset, 'Project Infinite', from Sony and Samsung Display, with Sony being the primary vendor. Apple’s 2024 Vision Pro OLEDoS display was 1.42 inches with a pixel density of 3391 PPI. Samsung’s XR Headset this fall will offer higher specifications of a 1.3-inch screen and a pixel density of around 3800 PPI (Pixels Per Inch).
