In a less than 72-hour span Justin Beach (Brockport State), Dennie Miles (Genesee Valley-Belfast) and Joe Reina (University of Rochester) each made history. Thomas jumped right into coaching after graduation and has over 26 years of experience at both the NCAA Division I and professional ranks, including the last four seasons as an assistant coach with the Providence Bruins – the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the NHL Boston Bruins.
