Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island Will Close on July 7

Disney announced today that they will be expanding their new Cars Land into the rest of Frontierland. They also announced the closure of attractions around Rivers of America ahead of demolition for the new Cars ride. Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat will close on July 7, 2025 to make way for Bob Iger’s IP dump. It all feels like an overreaction to Epic Universe, but I digress.
New Stitch Bag and Bucket Hat Now Available

Disney has released new Stitch merchandise that is so flippin’ adorable I can’t stand it! Included in the new releases are a Stitch Character Essentials bag and a bucket hat. There is also a shoulder sitter, but it isn’t currently on the Disney Store website. Of course, I had to buy the new bag as soon as it became available. A woman was arrested at the Orlando-Sandford International Airport after she allegedly hit a child with a water bottle and slammed his face into the airplane window. Kristy Crampton, 46, was set to fly to Hagerstown, Maryland, after a visit to Walt Disney World. Her Memorial Day ended with her arrest, felony child abuse charges, and a $10k bond. According to the Sanford Airport Police report, the pilot of the flight called the police to report a disturbance on the plane.
‘Disney Starlight’ Nighttime Parade Will Kick Off in July

"Lilo & Stitch" Blows "Snow White" Box Office Away In Opening Weekend

“Lilo & Stitch” just did more in its opening weekend than “Snow White” made in it’s entire box office run!It seems “Lilo & Stitch” will be another box office hit for the Walt Disney Company. It’s estimated to bring in almost $342 million globally in the opening weekend. Domestically, it is set to bring in $183 million. For comparison, “Snow White” brought in about $205 million globally. This was after weeks in theaters and a “re-release” for Mother’s Day weekend.
Lilo & Stitch Review - One of the Best Live Action Remakes.

Yesterday I was able to go to the very first showing of “Lilo & Stitch” at our local theater. I can say that this film is one of the better live-action remakes from Disney. It is not exactly like the original, and the ending is very different, but it’s still good. Yeah. Still good.

Disney has a new stage show coming to Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort called “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.”Now we have a look at the show thanks to The Concrete Wanderer on YouTube. Villains are caught in mirrors around the stage, with some characters coming out in physical form to perform. The video focuses on the Magic Mirror’s song, which is catchy, but reminds me of a song from the old Disney Channel holiday specials. It’s about 15 minutes long.
