PMQ Pizza Magazine

PMQ Pizza Magazine

Steve and Linda Green have deep roots in the pizza industry. Linda's dad ran a pizzeria, while Steve spent years as a franchisee for Domino's and later assisted other pizza businesses with their marketing efforts. After discovering a strong interest in pizza consulting through a newsletter he created, Steve realized that many people wanted to subscribe. This sparked the idea of launching a magazine. In 1997, the couple started a quarterly publication, which quickly evolved into PMQ Pizza Magazine, now published ten times a year due to increasing demand. Over the years, it has developed into a thriving online community, featuring a website, the PMQ App, a digital edition and archives, a Think Tank, and active social media and YouTube channels.

From McDonald’s to Domino’s, the country’s top restaurant chains have been fighting the so-called “value wars” for most of the past year. Now a smaller pizza brand has brought its own firepower to the fray. East Coast-based &pizza just dropped a new combo meal that’s “sent some serious shockwaves across the various fronts of the value war,” the company said. For $7, guests can pair a half cheese pie plus one topping and drizzle with a beverage.

By Rick HynumIn PMQ Pizza’s April 2025 cover story, we described Robert’s Pizza and Dough Co., located in Chicago, as an “exemplary restaurant.” But, alas, thanks to limited print space, we couldn’t delve as deeply as we would have liked into everything that makes this single-unit independent pizzeria—named one of the world’s best by 50 Top Pizza last year—so darn impressive. Fortunately, that’s what digital-exclusive content is for.
