Allocated annually, the grants provide up to 50% of the eligible cost of such short-line infrastructure improvements as track upgrades, expansions or rehabilitation; grade crossing surface and sightline upgrades; and bridge maintenance work. There are 13 short lines that operate in Saskatchewan.
