We're a long way from that now, of course, and Smith will turn 30 in June.

Derek Carr's career is over. Two years after the Raiders released him, and he signed with the Saints, he is calling it quits. The Saints announced the move Saturday. Just prior to April's draft, it was revealed that Carr had a shoulder injury that could require surgery and, if he opted for surgery, it would likely cost him the 2025 season. The Saints went on to draft Tyler Shough with the 40th overall pick in the draft -- four picks below where the Raiders had selected Carr some 11 years ago.
