Instead of an afternoon or evening kickoff, the annual gnashing of teeth will begin at 11 AM in Starkville, one day after Thanksgiving.

Petre Thomas-Imagn Images Over the last week, the NFL Draft dominated the football discourse, especially in these parts, as eight Ole Miss players were drafted during the three days in cheese-saturated Green Bay, Wisconsin. We saw two players go in the 1st round, two in the 2nd round, followed by one each in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th rounds. As previously noted on this site, the eight selections were a program record since the NFL Draft went to seven rounds.
