It just so happens that arguably the best player in the class has extensive ties to the state of Kentucky, and he’ll soon be taking a visit to Lexington. According to KSR’s Jacob Polacheck, 5-star small forward Tyran Stokes has scheduled an official visit to Kentucky for May 15-17.

Set Number: X164706 TK1 Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have done it again, this time landing a commitment from Denzel Aberdeen, who just won a national championship with the Florida Gators. The Orlando native just wrapped up his third season of college basketball, all with the Gators, and will now play out his final year in Lexington. The hope is that he’ll be another capable shooter from deep while also providing Kentucky with an extra option at point guard.

Prior to his commitment, Kentucky was also looking at Kansas Jayhawks transfer Rylan Griffen and was set to host him for a visit on Tuesday. However, that visit will no longer happen following Aberdeen’s commitment, according to KSR’s Jacob Polacheck.

On Monday, Pitino and St. John’s landed a pledge from North Carolina Tar Heels shooting guard Ian Jackson. 247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer broke the news first. A consensus top-10 recruit in the class of 2024, Jackson was one of Kentucky’s biggest targets in the class when John Calipari was in town, but the Tar Heels came out on top.

According to 247 Sports’ Travis Branham, Kentucky has landed a pledge from Florida Gators guard Denzel Aberdeen. This past season, Aberdeen averaged 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists for the 2025 NCAA National Champion Gators. He shot 41.5% from the field and 35% from deep across 19.7 minutes per outing.

It’s likely to be a transfer portal addition, but there’s a chance it will come from the high school ranks. On Friday, 5-star forward Shelton Henderson decommitted from the Duke Blue Devils. The initial belief was Henderson would follow former Duke assistant Jai Lucas to Miami, where Lucas is now the head coach. However, it appears Kentucky is trying to get in the mix.

Dylan Ballard - A Sea Of Blue The Kentucky Wildcats have another confirmed returnee for next season, this one coming from Trent Noah. On Friday, Noah announced his return to Kentucky through a post on Twitter. “I’m back,” Noah wrote. In 24 game appearances as a true freshman, the Harlan County product averaged 2.7 points on 45.1% shooting (33.3% from 3-point range) and 1.9 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game. The highlight of his season came in Kentucky’s home win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
