The 42nd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards is one of the largest awards organizations among all advertising categories. Entries are peer-reviewed and judged from a national field of competition. This year, more than 4,300 entries were received, making the awards the largest and most well-recognized health care advertising awards competition.

Jeanny Camden, LPN, knew she wanted to be a nurse from a young age. The inspiration came to her following a bad experience when she was 11. “My appendix ruptured, and I ended up in the hospital. I was hospitalized for about six weeks,” remembers Camden, a nurse at Good Samaritan Society – Villisca in Iowa. Dealing with pain and a fever, Camden says she’ll never forget how poorly she was treated by two nurses who dismissed her pleas for help.

Ali Hofer is living with purpose. She’s a mom, wife, and vice president of the Good Samaritan Foundation in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was 2004 when her life changed forever. “That summer, I was experiencing some unusual bleeding after intercourse and reported it to my OB/GYN at the time when we were living down in the Sioux City area,” Hofer told Sanford Health News. “The bleeding continued to happen,” she said.
