EA Sports is continuing the build-up to the much-anticipated release of the College Football 25 video game. Last released over a decade ago, the re-introduction of the popular game is expected to be the best version of the game to date. On Wednesday, EA Sports released the full list of the top 100 player rankings featured in the video game. The list features 100 players with an overall rating of 90 or better, headlined by Michigan defensive back Will Johnson with a 96 overall.

The women’s NCAA Tournament is off and running, but Saturday’s action was not without a bit of drama and controversy. That controversy came from a game involving 3-seed NC State and 14-seed Chattanooga. At halftime, official Tommi Paris was removed with a substitute official inserted in her place. According to a statement from March Madness officials, a “background conflict” for Paris was discovered that would have originally disqualified her from serving in that game.

Boo Corrigan will be with NC State for several more years. Corrigan, who recently stepped down as chair of the College Football Playoff committee, signed a contract extension with the Wolfpack through 2029. He’s been the AD at State since 2019. The Wolfpack promoted that since Corrigan arrived in Raleigh, State has won 16 ACC team championships, 3 more than any other league school during that time frame.

The ACC held its winter meetings this week, and among the changes, the conference leaders decided to alter the 2024-25 basketball seasons to accommodate the larger league. In men’s and women’s basketball, the top 15 teams will compete in the 2025 ACC Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments. What’s more, the men’s basketball regular season will continue with a 20-game conference slate while the women will continue to play an 18-game campaign.

The ACC is out with its plans for future conference championship events, including the storied men’s basketball tournament. The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament will take place in North Carolina for 5 straight years from 2025 to 2029. It will alternate years at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte in 2025, 2026, and 2028, and at the Greensboro Coliseum in 2027 and 2029. No venue has hosted the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament more than the Greensboro Coliseum, and 2027 will mark the 30th time.
