Wake Forest has forced a Monday winner-take-all rematch with Tennessee for a spot in Super Regionals. Even though Tennessee is hosting the regional, a quirk of the NCAA Tournament rules had Wake Forest as the home team on Sunday night. The Demon Deacons got the last at-bat and took advantage. It was a 6-6 ball game through 8.5 innings.

G’Nivre Carr is the newest pledge for Billy Napier and the Gators. He announced his commitment to play for Florida on Sunday. A lineman originally from just down the road from Gainesville in Ocala, Carr plays for the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. His current listed measurements are 6-5 and 315 pounds.

The Longhorns won 15-8 to advance to the regional finals for a rematch with UTSA. The No. 2 national seed, Texas surprisingly found itself in an elimination game on Sunday after a Saturday night loss to UTSA in the winner’s bracket game. With the season on the line, the Longhorns went to work early Sunday.

The Lady Volunteers may feel like they had to win it twice, but they’re moving on to face Texas in the semifinals. UT nearly ended the game in regulation. Tennessee led 4-2 after 6 innings. As the home team, the Lady Vols were 3 outs away in the top of the 7th. UCLA was down to its final out when Megan Grant hit a 2-run home run, tying it 4-4.
